April 12, 2009... Roxie has done incredibly well these past few weeks after having the first of the heartworm treatment shots. We also put her on a new food, her eyes are bright, her coat is super shiny. Just a couple more weeks until she can go to her forever home !!
February 5, 2009... Everyone loves Roxie. She gets along with all the dogs and is undemanding ! We never use a crate, she's trustworthy in the house and is housebroken. Her skin issues are improving, the ear mites are gone, she's not itchy like she was.
We're working on leash training, she's a smart little girl and will catch on with more practice. She'll be at Petsmart in Charlotte on Valentine's Day, we'll post the location and time soon.
January 14, 2009... Roxie continues to be a great girl! She is such a little wiglle butt that it is hard to get a good picture of her! Roxie has some skin issues but we are hoping that it is just an allergy to her food. We are in the process of making a change to a new food and we'll keep you posted on her progress with that!
December 30, 2009... Roxie has been SO patient, waiting for her forever home to find her. She asked Santa to bring her a special family, maybe even one with children that would teach her to play with toys, or fetch a ball, or just grow up with....
December 7, 2008... Roxie's all wrapped up for Christmas! She's the sweetest, best kissing, fasted nub wiggler that we've seen. She gets along with every dog she's met and survived a houseful of small children and adults over the Thanksgiving holiday. She's learned to sit and loves car rides.
She's heartworm positive and will have the treatment done soon. Roxie is a really good girl, totally housebroken, undemanding and very loving. At her young age she's very trainable and eager to please.
October 17, 2008... Roxi is a petite, tiny little thing. The vet thinks she's around two years old and weighs 50 pounds. If she was a human I'd say she never meets a stranger.....that's the way she is with all the dogs ..... she thinks Annie & Maddie are her big sisters and TUG is her personal plaything, she loves to run and play with him and likes to nibble on his floppy ears.....
We had an extra boxer last night and a wolf-hound come to play with the others for a while ..... Roxie took right to the boxer but was a little skeptical of the wolf-hound one at first. We were comfortable letting her off-leash ..... she did great!
August 20, 2008 ... Roxi was brought into rescue and is doing great! She is housetrained, crate trained and very well behaved. Roxi likes all dogs she meets but will growl at cats. Typical boxer, Roxi, is very wiggly and happy! More about Roxi soon.
