April 12, 2009... Rocky's eating great and wants more, particularly people food but I’m not giving in on that one. He finally ran and romped and played in the yard this morning. We played fetch and tug of war with a pretty cool toy I bought him the night I got him but he has had zero interest in it until this morning. Rocky does have some separation anxiety which will hopefully improve with a lot more exercise. We'll keep everyone posted on his progress!!
March 28, 2009... Rocky made himself right at home in his new foster home!! We slept on the couch together last night and he’s a snorer! He’s soooo sweet and is either very calm or just tired. And he does bark!!! A low bark and sometimes and a bark/howl. He has met everyone in the family. My sister and great-nephew brought him pieces of bacon this morning. He didn’t jump up on them or even snatch the bacon from their hand. Very gentle!! He and Miss Penny (my sister’s 7 year old hound mix) met and got along great. He’s not very playful yet, just seems very tired.
March 1, 2009 ... Rocky is a BIG teddy bear! He is so sweet and loving! He loves to cuddle! He is great to the boys in his foster home (ages 10 and 15). Rocky loves to give them lots of kisses! Rocky does not jump and even tho he is LARGE is very gentle. He still doesn't like going into the crate but he's good when he is in there. He has NO food aggression at all or human aggression. His foster mom has not even heard him bark!!
February 22, 2009 ... CBR welcomes Rocky to rescue! Rocky is doing great in his new foster home. He is housetrained but does not think that he should have to go into the crate while his foster mom goes to work all day! Rocky is a LARGE boy probably in the 80-90 pound range. We will know more once he goes to see the vet. He will also need to be neutered.
Rocky loves all people and is getting along wonderfully with the female boxer in his home as he has grown up with his sister, Allie. We will know more about this big teddy bear soon.
