April 12, 2009... Major continues to do well in his foster home and loves his fur sister, Sadie! He went for a visit to his foster grandparents house where he met several new dogs and did great! Major now stays loose in the house with his fur sister during the day and there have been no problems! Major loves to cuddle and just wants to please. He knows most commands and listens well!
March 19, 2009... Major is so sweet. He seems to be in good health. He is a very strong boy, and he eats and drinks normally. He gets along great with his foster fur sister Sadie. They play constantly. They also rip apart their toys together. Teamwork!! The only time he seemed to be upset with her was when Sadie tried to get in on a cuddle session between Major and me. They are such jealous kids. He just growled a little then he gave up and let her snuggle on top of him. He is not food aggressive at all. They like to share food. He LOVES people and loves to snuggle. I have never seen a dog that wants to be so close to people all the time. And when I say close, I mean CLOSE. He likes to take naps on top of us. He likes to be on the furniture but he always asks before he comes up. So polite. He is very well house trained. We tell him to sit every time we go to the door and he does. He comes very well too, but that might just be because he sees an opportunity for a snuggle session. Major does not like the crate. He tries to run away a little when I get near it because he knows what that means. He resists a little at first but then goes in. He does have a lot of energy and he is extremely fast. He loves to play ouside, but he seems to get hot very easily. We did take him to a dog park and discovered that he gets along great with female dogs, but not other male dogs.
Major is such a sweetheart. His nub wags constantly and he his very content as long as he is getting the attention and love he deserves.
March 16, 2009... Major is being returned to rescue. Major cannot go to a home with cats. He is, however, great with other dogs and kids!
January 26, 2009... Major is adjusting to his new foster home. He gets along great with his fur foster sister, Ruby, and the three children in the home. He's very strong! At times, he pulls when on a leash. He follows me to every room and lays at my feet...what a loyal friend!
He is beautiful...light brown eyes, a Tiger Brindle (fawn in color with brindle stripe markings which make him unique looking. Major likes to fetch (although he doesn't always bring it back) but is just as happy snuggling up for a nap with you!
