April 14, 2008...  Abby is being surrendered to CBR because her family is moving far away and they are having a difficult time finding an apartment that will allow dogs.  Abby is 4 years old and is a bundle of love!!  She is house trained and crate trained, although her previous family reported that she could be trusted in the house when they were not home.  She plays very well with both my male and female boxers - she also gets along very well with my cat!  Abby seems to know most commands.  She is very treat motivated (especially cheese), so I think she has the ability to learn quickly!  She loves to run around the yard and play with the other dogs.  I think she could do some agility as she jumped clear over Gracie (my female boxer) today.  It was a sideways jump (like she was jumping rope) - it was pretty unbelievable to see a boxer do this!!!  She does jump up on people sometimes, but we are working on this and she is already showing great improvement!

Abby is a really sweet, fun dog.  She would do great in an active household, with or without other dogs or cats!  She could certainly be a running/walking partner!  In her previous home, she lived with 2 young girls and did very well with them!  Abby is spayed and is a healthy girl, but is heartworm positive.  We will have this treated as soon as possible.
