LACEY
November 22, 2009...  Lacey continues to be such a sweet and playful girl. She is also now potty trained and crate trained, which I think is good for only being with us for a few weeks! She's a smart girl and with some more work, it won't be long before she learns more basic commands. She has "sit" down packed since she knows a treat awaits! . She has now completed all her shots for the year and to my surprise, I think she is spayed! And she has gained some weight which she needed, since she was a little thin when we got her. She loves to give hugs and kisses and have her belly rubbed! She really just wants to please, and is so excited to see anyone when they come over. More to come as we get to know Lacey!

October 21, 2009...  Lacey has come out of her shell and is showing some of her wonderful personality! She loves playing with my boxer and all his toys and she loves to be outside! I think she would stay out there all day if we would stay outside with her!  I have a smaller dog and she does really well with her. She has now found my cat and sometimes will stare at her, but doesn't chase her, just curious about her! We are still working on the potty training and crate training and she is doing a lot better. She is a little reluctant when going in the crate, but she goes in and doesn't whimper or bark. She is such a good dog and we are really enjoying having her around! I have started her on Heartguard and she is up to date on her shots. She is such a sweetheart and makes me laugh all the time! You're gonna love her!

October 18, 2009...  Lacey has been good around my dogs, and so far has ignored the cat. She walks pretty good on a leash and does well so far when we pass other dogs. We are working on her house training, and she's not doing bad, just one accident so far. I did crate her last night and she did ok. She wasn't very eager to go in, but as we all settled in the bedroom and turned off the light, she started settling too. She is NOT spayed, HW positive and a little on the skinny side. I've been feeding her 2/3 smaller meals, and she eats well. She even does well eating with my other dogs and shows no signs of aggression with food or treats and bones so far. One thing she does not do is play. We've tried introducing her to toys, played frisbee and ball, but she doesn't show any interest. She is very calm, doesn't bark and or whine, but does like to be close, wanting lots of attention. I think in time when she gets used to us, she'll start playing and running around! She is a beautiful and sweet dog and will make a wonderful companion.
